About Tipsy
Tipsy isn't your traditional convenience store — and we don't want to become one.
Our vision is to create a young, vibrant and welcoming place where shopping is only part of the experience.
A place where you can stop by with friends for a drink or a quick snack, grab some ramen, listen to good music, discover cool products you haven't seen everywhere else — or simply hang out for a little while.
We want Tipsy to be the friendly go-to spot in the neighbourhood: convenient, fun, welcoming and always a little different.
We're constantly developing the concept, bringing in new products and experimenting with what a modern convenience store can be. Our ambition is to build one of the most exciting convenience-store concepts in Prague and, eventually, across the Czech Republic.
And the people working at Tipsy are a huge part of creating that atmosphere.
Who We're Looking For
We are not looking for someone who just wants to sit behind a till for seven hours.
We're looking for someone with the Tipsy energy — active, friendly, vibrant and naturally good with people.
Someone who enjoys talking to customers, likes a lively environment and understands that great customer service can be as simple as having a conversation, recommending a new snack or making someone feel welcome when they walk through the door.
You'll probably fit in well if you're:

Your Schedule
🌙 Monday–Friday: 17:00–00:00
⏰ 35 hours per week
🎉 Weekends off
This is a fixed evening position, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable working this schedule consistently and long-term.
What You'll Be Doing
Your job isn't only operating the till. You'll help create the overall Tipsy experience.
You'll be:
- Welcoming and serving customers
- Operating the POS system and handling payments
- Talking to customers and helping them discover products
- Recommending products and answering questions
- Helping customers with our self-service ramen station
- Restocking and organizing products
- Keeping displays attractive and well presented
- Keeping the store clean, tidy and inviting
- Performing basic stock checks
- Helping us maintain the overall atmosphere of the store
- Preparing and properly closing the store at the end of the evening
- It's retail, so there will naturally also be boxes to unpack, shelves to fill and things to clean. Everyone gets involved.
Languages
- 🇨🇿 Czech – conversational level required
- 🇬🇧 English – conversational level required
We have a diverse mix of Czech and international customers.
English is particularly important during the evening shift, so you need to be comfortable having a normal conversation with customers in English.
You don't need perfect grammar or a certificate — you need to be able to communicate confidently.

- 💰 CZK 24,000 gross/month during the 3-month probation period
- 💰 CZK 26,000 gross/month after successfully completing probation

Experience Is Great. Personality Matters More.
Previous experience in retail, hospitality or customer service is an advantage, but it isn't essential.
We can teach you how to use the till, stock shelves and follow our procedures.
What is much harder to teach is energy, initiative, reliability and genuinely enjoying working with people.
That's what we're really looking for.
